This Mom’s Review of the Erin Condren Life Planner
Six months ago when the Erin Condren Life Planners went on sale (like they do every April, when they are getting rid of this years inventory so they can start selling next years in June) I decided to make the jump from my old planner to the ECLP, which I’d been drooling over for months!
My planner arrived three days before the estimated ship date, so I was incredibly pleased with that! So I immediately tore into the box and that was the end of it. My addiction was off and running!
I have tried countless planners before. Cheapies that you buy at Target and Walmart. Digital ones on my phone or iPad. A wall calendar in my kitchen. None of them have worked. None of them. But my ECLP? For some reason, the layout, the price, whatever? It works for me. This planner goes EVERYWHERE I go. And I use it. And I’ve turned it into a journal too! (Please ignore my bad drawing skills, I was never good at that! Stick figures for the WIN!) At the end of my day, I grab the markers and just color for a bit – something to tell me what I did that day.
But what it comes down to? I LOVE THIS PLANNER! The Morning/Day/Night boxes just seem to click with me! (And I do use them in that way – Morning is anything before Noon. Day is Noon – 5pm and Night is 5pm-Bedtime. And I’m a Washi Tape addict! I typically pick one color for all of my church stuff (which is a 4 or 5 day a week thing for me) and then one color for everything else! That way I can tell at first glance what my “plan” for the week is!
I write things on the monthly view as I find out about them, then on Sunday nights I sit down to decorate my planner for the next week and pull the activities forward from the monthly page! (I also have a coil clipped note card that has all of my weekly stuff that doesn’t change! Tomorrow I’ll show you how to make your own coil clips – which can work GREAT for any planner or notebook!)
One thing I really love is the Note Pages at the back of the planner! I’ve used them for various things – I made a Summer Bucket List, an Autumn Bucket List, a step-by-step guide to how to run the computer for a church service (I’m an audio/video tech at my church) and hours of local businesses that my kiddo likes to frequent!
I know that the ECLP is pricey (starting at $50, and going up easily if you customize your planner!) But it’s well worth the price, these planners are super cute, durable and functional! And? I have a $10 off coupon code for your first order! (All you have to do is enter your email address, and they email you the code!)
