Setting Monthly Goals has been a habit of mine for as long as I can remember. Some months I do really good and hit them all, and others? I forget about them by the 2nd day of the month. But I always set them. Typically I type them up in Evernote and store them there and then sometimes I transpose them onto paper. Last year they were always on the “Goals” section of my Erin Condren Life Planner monthly spread. But this year that wasn’t working for me.
So finally, last month? I tried my Brain Dump Journal. This worked wonderfully, because this little notebook goes everywhere with me. I really am a pen and paper girl anyway, so being able to take it everywhere with me in a small notebook worked well. (And fit perfectly with my Year of Action!)
So on May 1, I sat down with my ECLP, my Brain Dump Journal and my list of monthly goals. I wrote “May 2015” at the center of the newest page in my notebook and then just went from there! I fell in love with this new way of writing my goals. It’s visually pleasing (if you can get beyond my handwriting and inability to draw straight lines) and it’s got a totally unique way to cross items off the list!
As you can see, I’ve already started coloring in the little bubbles as I get things done. So hopefully at the end of May? This will be my most colorful page yet!
Do you set monthly goals? If so, how do you keep track?
